By now, I'm sure everyone is getting excited for Thanksgiving & Christmas. We are too, but I just have to share about Halloween before it's waaaaaaaay too late. Some of you may already feel this way. ;) Bear with me!

So this year, we had two sets of costumes. First they were Jax & Gemma Teller from Sons of Anarchy. Then they were Dorothy & the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz. I'm not entirely sure which set of costumes I liked better! Both of them were super easy to create. For Sons of Anarchy, I dressed them in 'edgy' clothes. To create the patches, I simply Googled SOA images & printed them out; then I taped them onto the clothes. Done & done. (Gemma Teller doesn't actually wear MC patches but I felt it was necessary for this theme.)

For Dorothy, Layla is wearing an Alice + Ames dress from the summer. She had the cream-colored top in her closet and I found the red sparkly shoes at Marshall's. Landon's hoodie was randomly found at Target; it's part of their Wizard of Oz line. It worked out perfectly!

I'd say I kept it pretty simple with the costumes this year. I wasn't sure what to expect from Landy as I didn't think he would actually wear a costume. Knowing this, I felt the need to make his costumes seem like he was wearing everyday clothes. My plan worked, (mom win!), and he ended up loving his lion hoodie. Go figure. ;)

Here are a few snapshots:

And that's a wrap. Until next year, Halloween! Now it's time for Christmas music & candy canes!! Hope you're all having a great weekend. :)
